On Wednesday 12th June 2024 the Kings Lynn club confirmed in a press statement that Tobias Musielak who suffered collarbone and ankle injuries in a crash at the Adrian Flux Arena on the 2nd of May is still unable to return to the UK, despite returning to ride for his Polish League Club Ostrow.
Mr Musielak has stated that he is not fit enough to return to the UK at this time due to the demands of British Speedway and the technical tracks we have in the UK.
Mr Musielak has also claimed that the reduced riding schedule currently will benefit his long-term health going forward.
Although the Speedway Control Bureau (SCB) does not wish to enforce any rider to compete when not fully fit there are regulations in place to protect clubs from having riders selecting which fixtures they choose to compete in or not.
Therefore, as Mr Musielak has chosen not to come back to the UK at this time and subsequently was absent from the Kings Lynn fixture against Oxford on Monday 17th June 2024, Mr Musielak SCB Registration will be suspended for a period of 28 days as per SCB Regulation 010.5 j)
The Kings Lynn club will receive a facility for the same period 28 days, which will end on the 14th July 2024.
The Kings Lynn club have been informed that the facility will not be extended, therefore at the end of the 28 days either Mr Musielak must return or be replaced.
