The Speedway Control Bureau have confirm this afternoon that the results of Kyle Howarth drug test at Edinburgh on Friday 28th June has been cleared.
Kyle got prescribed Co Codamol medication after his crash at Redcar in the British Semi Final, and it is only the Co Codamol that has shown up on the test.
At no point has Kyle failed a drugs test, it was just a case of him being prescribed a medication by the hospital of Co Codamol which has traces of morphine.
Unfortunately Kyle has missed 2 fixtures through taking this test, but during the whole time, Kyle has understood the reasons why these tests are carried out, and has been a complete Gentleman in what has been a very difficult time for him and his family.
The Speedway Control Bureau will continue to do random drink and drug testing across the country, and as in all sports, riders are reminded before taking any medication to check if the product is allow in sport.
