04.2.16 Rev Limiters
It will be compulsory for all 250cc and 500cc engines to incorporate an ignition system with a rev limiter. Such rev limiters must remain unmodified as delivered by the manufacturer. The rev limiter shall restrict the engine maximum rotational speed to 13,500 RPM. It will be recommended to use as 'soft cut' rev limiter.
A member of the SCB Technical Team can at any time during an event, install a rev counter on the machine (mounted / attached to the frame and connected to the ignition coil / engine) or check the maximum engine revolutions with a computer / software connected to the digital ignition system.
04.2.17 Riding Numbers
For the 2025 season mandatory for the Premiership, Championship and National League.
The number must be clearly legible, located by the rider's right leg in the space between the upper part of the rear sub-frame and the bottom edge of the rear mudguard.
It must be visible when the rider is seated in the riding position. If rigid covers are used, it should be approximate to this position and firmly fixed to the covering material. Other numbers or markings on a motorcycle liable to cause confusion with the correct riding number are not permitted and must be removed before the start of the meeting.
The minimum dimensions of the figure being: Height of the Figure: 100mm
04.2.18 Silencer
A homologated silencer as per the SCB Regulations must be used.
From the 2025 season it will be compulsory for all silencers (for 500cc and 250cc) to be dated a minimum of 4 years old. (e.g. 2022 or newer for the 2025 season)
